Synopsis
In this series of 14 lesson plans, teachers will guide students through three modules of climate topics that focus on the impacts of climate change, climate solutions, and climate action.
The lesson plans include videos, activities, and slide presentations, and are designed to be completed in 40 to 45 minutes each.
This comprehensive unit is aligned with language arts, social studies, and science standards.
There are many resources provided and the students will be engaged in different types of learning.
Additional Prerequisites
You must watch the introductory training video (~40 mins) before requesting access to the resources via the Google form linked on the site.
You must use the links in the lesson plans to get access to the editable content.
CCL requests feedback for using their content.
There are no standards selected for this collection of lessons because it encompasses a variety of topics, disciplines, and grade levels.
Differentiation
The content is focused on middle school grades, but it could be differentiated for older students by assigning additional readings or having students complete more in-depth research.
If you aren't able to use the entire platform of lessons, choose the lessons or activities that fit in with your schedule and curriculum.
