Synopsis
- In this activity from the Climate Emotions Toolkit, students will attempt to counter their brain's negativity bias with five positive climate feelings.
- Students will learn about the psychology of the negativity bias and media influences that contribute to feelings of doom.

Prerequisites
- Students should have a basic understanding of climate change or global warming.
Differentiation & Implementation
- Teachers can implement this strategy during a unit about climate change or introduce it at the beginning of the year for students to use as a tool for processing any negative emotions.
- Students can create a master list of positive climate feelings and post it prominently in the room as a reminder of the good things.
- Teachers can add this exercise to a journaling rotation or as an option for a free-write.
