Synopsis

  • This group of resources from Climate Generation introduces students to green careers and guides them in an exploration of these careers.
  • Students can watch a 19-minute documentary explore climate solutions, create a community sustainability project that relates to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, perform an energy efficiency audit, and research and implement strategies to reduce food waste at school.
  • The curriculum also has a linked lesson to introduce students to climate change, which includes a carbon cycle game where students model the cycle pre- and post-industrial revolution and participate in a data analysis activity.
  • Some of the resources are based on Minnesota-specific information, but students from all states can benefit from this resource.
