Differentiation & Implementation
- After viewing the presentation, students can select a green job they would like to learn more about. They can then research this job and create a presentation or piece of writing to report what they have learned.
- Alternatively, teachers can put together an imaginary future class reunion, where students, acting as themselves in the future, explain how their job has helped solve the climate crisis.
- To make community connections, teachers can invite members of the community who hold green jobs to talk about their experiences with students.
- Students can practice narrative writing by imagining a future green job they think will exist and writing about a person in that job.
- Students can brainstorm other jobs and ways to make them into green jobs.
