Synopsis
This brief article examines the physical features of the Milwaukee River Basin, the watersheds within the basin, the number of endangered species within the basin, and the historical context of this basin.
Students will learn that the main watersheds in this basin contain hundreds of miles of perennial and intermittent streams, the basin was initially settled by four Native American tribes, and there used to be many more trees along the riverbanks within the basin.
