Synopsis
- This website includes links to lesson plans for grades K-12, numerous educator guides, and additional resources to assist teachers in exploring Wabanaki studies.
- Along with guides based on grades and subjects, teachers will find book suggestions, land acknowledgment resources, and resources for Thanksgiving and Indigenous Peoples Day.

- Teachers should read through materials carefully before implementing resources and ensure they use resources respectfully.
Differentiation & Implementation
- Teachers can create word walls with the provided vocabulary lists.
- There are guides based on grade level and for secondary subjects, such as ELA, civics, economics, and geography.
- To make community connections, teachers can invite Wabanaki speakers to their classrooms.
- Teachers can discuss climate change and the solutions provided by traditional ecological knowledge.
The website goes into great length on the Wabanakis' ways of life and their connections to Mother Earth and the natural world. Indigenous knowledge, attitudes, and traditional sustainability practices are examined, and lessons learned are shared with the next generation to encourage them to take care of the environment. Additional K–12 guides to promote sustainability and climate action are available on this site. After going over all the supporting materials, it passed our scientific review procedure.
