Kim Talarico (she/her) is the Climate Education Coach for Milwaukee Public Schools in Wisconsin. Her mission is to guide educators throughout her district to infuse climate education into all subjects across all grade levels K-12. She brings her years of dedicated teaching and leadership experience to the forefront of this endeavor. She is passionate about working with both students and educators to assure their knowledge about climate change cultivates hope and brings about meaningful action. When Kim is not in the classroom she enjoys hiking and traveling with her family.
In this outdoor lesson, students make connections to trees through songs, observational drawing, and writing. This lesson encourages outdoor exploration and using all of the senses to learn about the importance of trees.
