Climate Education in Action: Realizing New York's Climate Requirement

Join educators, policymakers, and other thought leaders during Climate Week NYC 2026 to discuss climate change education.

Join us virtually during Climate Week NYC, co-hosted by SubjectToClimate, the Climate & Resilience Education Taskforce (CRETF), New York City Public Schools Office of Energy and Sustainability, the Climate Mental Health Network (CMHN), and the Yale Program of Climate Change Communication (YPCCC).

 

​This year’s event will feature a keynote from environmental educator Suzie Hicks and a presentation by ecologist Carolyn Hall, as well as teacher presentations on bringing climate education into the classroom.
